The Safir GT40 Spares, Limited bellhousing assembly includes the fully machined, T-356 aluminum bellhousing that mates a small block Ford engine block to a ZF 5DS25/1&2 gearbox. It is also available machined to mate to the ZF 5DS25/0, the original gearbox with the exposed shift linkage and without the additional ribbing that was added for strength on the /1&2 designs. The "/0" attaches the bellhousing to the gearbox using 4 bolts that are accessed from inside the bellhousing only. The Safir raw casting allows for machining either bolting configuration, and can be supplied by Safir as a special order. When Safir has machined the "/0" bellhousing in a run of other bellhousings, the additional price is $350.00 for the "/0" design. When a "special" run is needed, contact us for a price; the adder will be commensurate with castings available, and machining time for a "one off the line" piece.

Safir bellhousings have a machined boss on which to mount a Girling clutch slave cylinder. The bellhousing is also available without screens and bushings.  Be sure to look for the GT40 trademark to be assured that you are getting genuine Safir GT40 Spares parts.
