Safir GT40 Spares, Limited offers all of the components necessary to mate a small block Ford engine to a ZF 5DS25/0,1, or 2 gearbox, or the new ZFQ. The kit includes a zero-balanced flywheel, ring gear, twin disc clutch, adjustable throwout bearing, engine back plate, bellhousing, lower bellhousing mounting bushings, lower bellhousing screen with fasteners, clutch release lever with fasteners and rod end with adjustment rod, the clutch slave cylinder, and a high torque, single reduction GT40 starter motor. A ZFQ needs a Safir clutch fork shaft to work with the our clutch lever arm, as the splines differ. The shaft is $236.00 as a part, or an additional $212.00 when buying the complete package. When using these components in a period GT40 or a Superformance GT40, no portion of the bellhousing hangs below the chassis frame members.
When using a very early ZF 5DS25/0 gearbox Safir does have a bellhousing to mate to a small block Ford, however there is a $350 adder to the package price for the "/0" bellhousing. When Safir has machined the "/0" bellhousing in a run of other bellhousings, the additional price is $350.00 for the "/0" design. However, if we do not have a "/0" in stock, we can make one for the additional $600.00. We do not machine many of these bellhousings, and when we do, it costs us more to do a short run. We apologize.
